東京での大学時代のことを書いた曲です。恋愛にしても夢にしても移り気で、真面目になりたいのに、少し怖くて逃げている。高いところに実った葡萄を採れずにで「あれは酸っぱかったんだ」と納得させるような。そういうことを繰り返す人生かなと。新宿で飲んで、深夜とか早朝に、明大前まで約20分の道のりを歩いて帰っていた頃の想いを広げて書きました。サウンド的にはモータウン・サウンドを現代的にアップデートすることを意識しています。

This is a song I wrote about my college days in Tokyo. I was a bit scared to run away from love and dreams, even though I wanted to be serious. It’s like not being able to pick grapes from a high place and convince myself that they were sour.
This is the kind of life that repeats itself. I wrote this while expanding on the feelings I had when I was drinking in Shinjuku and walking back to Meidaimae late at night or early in the morning, taking about 20 minutes to get home.
In terms of sound, I was conscious of updating the Motown sound to a more modern flavor.
