In Japan, the third wave of Covid-19 is raging. Even in the midst of the uncertain future, we want to shine a light on the music scene by transmitting the appeal of music from Okinawa, introducing new talent, and exploring new possibilities.
With this in mind, we will hold “Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2021” in January 2021 in Naha City and Okinawa City,Okinawa, Japan at the same time.
It will be a hybrid online and offline festival. Using the network, experience and enthusiasm cultivated through “Sakurazaka ASYLUM” and “Trans Asia Music Meeting”, we will hold a showcase festival and international music conference that connects multiple live music venues in a circular format.
We will accelerate the movement to spread music beyond national borders while valuing the local community in Okinawa and the connections with other parts of Japan and Asia.
